Taxiride - Creepin' Up Slowly

Country - Australia     Player - Craig

Let's kick on back to the places we know
The path isn't set
Yet your life is on show

Saw you running in circles
Got a bug in your head
Feeling needles and pins
Get them outta my head
Take a chance on a rumour
Heard from a friend
That something is gonna change

It's creepin' up slowly
She's taken me over
It's turning me on
With every breath that I take
I roll up my dreams
And blow them away

Cruising on Blue Street
My worries are freed
Stressed out and in doubt
I know exactly what you need

Got your life wrapped up
In the palm of your hand
Try to feel what I feel
But you can't understand
No you won't be satisfied 'til you see
That something is gonna change

CHORUS

Rip it up and turn the page
Slip through the cracks in the stage
And you will find me there
Look past the nose upon your
Face it, it's gonna change

Saw you movin' in slowly
Caught a glint in your eye
A moment's hesitation
Keeps you wondering why
And you won't be satisfied 'til you see
This meeting of the minds inside of me

CHORUS

Player's comments: Taxiride started its life in Melbourne during 1996.
Tim Watson, Tim Wild and Jason Singh had all been a part of the live band scene for several years when they decided to team up and form a band they hoped would stand out from the pack.
Two years of writing and recording, as well as the addition of a fourth member (Dan Hall) saw Taxiride's sound begin to take shape. 1998 was spent doing demos, shopping for a recording contract, and eventually recording the debut album at Oceanway Studios in Los Angeles with legendary producer Jack Joseph Puig.
Their first single release entitled "Get Set" was included on "The Election" soundtrack (starring Reese Witherspoon) and went on to become a top 10 hit for the band in Australia. Their second single "Everywhere You Go" was also a major hit in Australia (both singles achieving gold status) and their debut album "Imaginate" entered the charts at No.1 nationally and it wasn't long before it had achieved double platinum sales.
Taxiride spent most of 1999 touring Australia, and picked up an Aria Award for best new artist-single.
2000 was a long year for Taxiride. They clocked up countless thousands of kilometres touring the globe. The highlight of the year was playing some of the worlds largest and most famous venues supporting Tina Turner on the European leg of her world tour.
2000 also saw the band head to Japan twice. Outside Australia, Japan has the most number of Taxiride fans, so the guys had an amazing time on both tours.
Until recently, the last live performance for the band was on New Years Eve 2000 supporting INXS. Since then 2001 and early 2002 was spent writing and recording new material for the new album.
The first single "Creepin' up slowly" leapt out of the box and within two weeks was the most played song on Australian radio. Upon release in June 2002 it debuted on the Aria Charts at No.8 and went on to become the bands best selling single in Australia reaching platinum status and staying in the top 20 for over three months.
After nearly three years since the first album, "Garage Mahal" was finally released in Australia on the 5th of August debuting at No.5 on the Aria Charts.
