| Player's comments: | Maria Arredondo was born in 1985.
She was raised in a small village called Vennesla located 20 kilometres north of
Kristiansand. Maria has been singing since she could walk. From the age of 10 she has participated in a lot of local concerts and events. As a multi talented singer she has done everything from classical to pop, and because of her multi talent it has taken her almost two years to find and decide on her own style and sound. When that was done it didn't take long before she signed a record deal with Universal Music. To quote VG's Stein Østbø after meeting Maria - "With her charm and genuine talent Maria WILL find her way into your heart" And Christian Ingebrigtsen of a1 - "Some voices has that unexplainable magic about them that just gives you goosebumps" Her debut album is recorded half and half in Sweden and Norway, and is produced by several well known producers - Jonas von Der Burg, Harry Sommerdahl, Espen Lind, Jonny Sjo, Bluefish, and Björn Erik Pedersen. Also on the song writer side many has contributed - Jonas von Der Burg, Silje Nergaard, Harry Sommerdahl, etc. Her debut album will be finished by the end of April 2002, and will contain "Just a little heartache" and "Can't let go". |
