Player's comments: Marina Rei made her debut in 1995 with the release a single entitled Sola that rapidly attracted the curiosity of the public and the musical world. In 1996 she took part in the Sanremo Festival with the song Al di là di questi anni, which won the Critics' Prize. She subsequently re-released the album that originally came out prior to her success at the Festival, entitled Marina Rei, which went on to win a platinum disc for sales. The Sanremo Festival was followed by a series of concerts culminating in the one held in Piazza San Giovanni in Rome for the traditional May Day celebrations. In 1997 she again took part in Sanremo with the splendid track Dentro me, the first single taken from her second album Donna, which in turn won a platinum disc with sales of more than 100 thousand. This album contained the single Primavera, for which she produced a delightful videoclip with Margherita Buy and which won her the Il Disco per l'Estate festival in 1997. The following tour brought her enormous success with the public. During the Festa dell'Unità in Reggio Emilia she sang in front of 20,000 people. In 1998 she released the album Animebelle with the participation of internationally renowned musicians including Trilok Gurtu and promoted through the single T'innamorerò. The following year she made her third appearance at Sanremo with the track Un inverno da baciare, again experimenting with a new sound, which was included on the second release of Animebelle. After recording a new single entitled L'allucinazione, Marina Rei set off for another tour. At the end of the tour she began composing her new album, which came out in November 2000.
