Ainslie, David and Lemar  -  Lullaby

Country - GREAT BRITAIN     Player- Colin

Open her eyes,
So as to fall in love with me
Help me to speak,
Bless me words that she will feel,
Oh let it rain, droplets of sunshine in her life,
Give her the world
But let it be me she longs to hold

I can’t wait, I won’t wait,
Coz tomorrow's too late,
And I need her right now in my life
All that I’m praying for is my love finds her like a lullaby,
Finds her in the night, sings her to sleep,
All that I’m hoping for is my voice finds her like a lullaby,
Sings her to sleep, she’ll wake with me

Rewind the days,
To when she first laid eyes on me,
In like a fire
Let it burn uncontrollably,
Oh I’m in love
I’ve never felt this way before,
Coz we’re same, and I will ask of you no more

I can’t wait, I won’t wait,
Coz tomorrow's too late,
And I need her right now in my life
All that I’m praying for is my love finds her like a lullaby, finds her in the night,
Sings her to sleep,
All that I’m hoping for is my voice finds her like a lullaby,
Finds her in the night sings her to sleep,

This is my prayer I’m not ashamed to declare that I’m praying for you,
Laid down a love song made up this melody
Oh let this lullaby cry out and catch her

All that I’m praying for is my love finds her like a lullaby,
Finds her in the night,
Sings her to sleep,

All that I’m hoping for is my voice finds her like a lullaby, sings her to sleep, she’ll wake with me

All that I’m praying for is my love finds her like a lullaby,
Finds her in the night,
Sings her to sleep,

All that I’m hoping for is my voice finds her like a lullaby,
Sings her to sleep, she’ll wake with me

She’ll wake with me, She’ll wake with me, She’ll wake with me, She’ll wake with me

Ainslie, David and Lemar are Ainslie Henderson, David Sneddon and Lemar Obika. All three were students in the BBC's Fame Academy programme. David won the series, with Lemar third and Ainslie finished fourth. Lullaby was written by Ainslie and Lemar during the series as a song writting task and ended up on the Fame Academy album.

Below are biographies of all three which were posted to the internet during the Fame Academy show.......

Ainslie
Ainslie is 23 and originally from Denholm near Hawick, Scotland although now he lives in London. He was born in Edinburgh and spent most of his life growing up in a tiny rural village in the Scottish borders with Mum and a younger brother. He left school and formed a band called Suburbia which was signed to the small Los Angeles-based label, City of Angels. When the label went bust and the band broke up last year, Ainslie found himself in London. He had been due to go to Edinburgh University after school but deferred for a year and 5 years later still hasn't got round to it!
Ainslie is currently unemployed but describes himself as a singer songwriter. His main ambition is to be an accomplished singer/songwriter and performer. His biggest achievement in life is playing in a gig at the Viper Rooms in LA to the heads of A&R of almost every major record label. Ainslie plays the guitar (self taught) and enjoys listening to mainly guitar music. He writes his own material which is a mix of Beatles, Oasis and Radiohead but he is also inspired by Eric Clapton, David Bowie and Noel Gallagher, whom he regards as his favourite songwriter. His favourite male artist is Jeff Buckley and female is Bjork.

David
David, who lists his occupation as a "singer in a pub band", is a self-taught pianist who also plays the drums and plays in a band called The Martians. His main musical influences are the Beatles, Van Morrison and...Wet Wet Wet. However, Marty Pellow's band only comes in fifth on his list of favourite artists, and only then, he says, because, "I have to put in someone Scottish!" His hero is the well-known Scot Frank Sinatra, and he is used to the television, having been a presenter for a TV show, shown in Aberdeen and Glasgow, called Inside Out. His hobbies include playing 5-a side football, watching movies, acting and playing video games.

Lemar
Lemar is a 24 year old Account Manager at a leading high street bank. He lives in London with his parents and is single but has been with his girlfriend for 7 years. Much of his spare time is spent singing, writing songs and trying to teach himself the basics of the piano. He loves going to the gym and is trying to get back to going 5 days a week. Lemar has a background in music and has performed as support for various artists in clubs all over Britain mainly in R&B clubs and has been the warm up for groups including Destiny's Child. Lemar describes his music taste as Soul, R&B, Pop and Garage. Hi favourite artists are Boyz II Men, Michael Jackson and Usher. But he hates "Heavy Metal, Candy Pop and songs that ooze cheese". He is deeply inspired by the Boyz II Men song 'Mama' as "it is deep and makes me want to keep on doing what I'm doing to make my Mum proud." Lemar believes he will bring a good sense of humour and adventure to the Academy, be emotionally inquisitive and supportive to others. His party trick is that he has very bendy thumbs but he says that his worst habit would be talking to himself. He also believes he may be a little psychic and can interpret dreams.
