Eimear Quinn - Endless Sadness
Country - IRELAND Player - Bryan
The nightshade and yellow sun The voices echoing inside My soul escapes me now The evening sun, I’m standing here alone A shadow falls beyond the seventh stone I’m craving you I blame myself for the hurting I have put you through It’s all forgiven now It’s hurting me too I need to know Does your heart ache with endless sadness Your sadness Does your heart ache with endless sadness Your sadness I hear the sound of waves on the shore I feel the rain and the wild winds roar I need to know Does your heart ache with endless sadness Does your heart ache with endless sadness |
Player's comments: | Eimear Quinn began her music career as part of the Celtic choir Anuna who sang in the interval act of the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. The choir made several successful albums and Eimear was soon on the Eurovision stage again in 1996 in Norway where she has a landslide victory with the song The Voice. The song was a hit in Ireland but Eimear took a step back from the pop world to pursue her studies. She returned to the recording studio in 2002 with the album Through The Lens Of A Tear which was marketed as a classical album rather than pop or Celtic. She joined forces with Pol Brennan of Clannad on the album. He wrote and arranged the Celtic flavoured songs which were all based on the medieval love story of Tristan and Isolde. Endless Sadness is the stand out track from this album. |
