A'Studio History
Band was created in 1987 in Almaty, Kazakhstan
Original line-up:
Baigali Serkebayev - keyboards, leader of the group
Vladimir Mikloshich - bass-guitar
Batyrhan Shukenov - saxophone, vocal
Bulat Syzdykov - guitar
Nadzhib Vildanov - vocal, keyboards
Before creation of A-Studio all members worked as supporting group for Roza Rymbaeva and become laureats of 8th USSR contest for pop music in Moscow.
First band was titled "Almata", then "Almata Studio".
After release of first hit Julia, band was invited to work in music theater of Alla Pugacheva in Moscow, band change name to A'Studio. Shortly after moving to Moscow B.Syzdykov and N.Vildanov left band, Baglan Sadvakasov became new vocalist, and Batyr becomes regular singer.
In 1991 band works in London, with Greg Walsh and Polygram company. Also they tour USA and participated in Dallas and Little Rock festivals. In 1994 band works at famous Hit factory in New York.
In 2000 after tour in Miami and New York frontman Batyr decided to quit band and to start solo career. He is replaced by Polina Griffith, born in Russia but since 1990 lived in New York. In 2001 group toured USA with new line-up, giving concerts in LA, Miami, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York.
In 2002 band presented new big show program devoted to 15th anniversary of the groop.
They gave joined concert with Danish N'Evergreen groop and took part in Fox Kids Planet Live in Netherlands.
Now new album is being recorded and it's presentation will be held as usual in hometown of the band - Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Show Me The Way will be included in this new album. In Russia song was nominated in 2003 music awards in category - Best European Quality Product.
OGAE members are already familiar with this group as they were only representatives from Kazakhstan in OGAE Song contest.
