a breath of wind I ran back Into past memories I relived for some time in the dreamland colours everywhere surrounded by friends, playing together enjoying ourselves without any worries Time flew by And I grew up so soon I understood the reason why the heart falls in love so suddenly and I felt the joy deep in my heart Tears came running down And towards the dream gardens I flew I asked my heart why do we fall in love and then we quit so soon And I felt a sweet breeze around me which cast the bad thoughts away day changed suddenly like a breath of the wind my joy flew away like the wind I grew up without understanding the horizons of our ending I lost my mind so soon I only cared of silly things the ever-shiny lights and I wished that this life full of wealth beautiful like roses will never end But the sky's lights darken at night and so happened to me my heart filled with sorrow joy vanished so soon and I gazed into emptiness while asking myself why... I asked my heart why do we fall in love and then we quit so soon And I felt a sweet breeze around me which cast the bad thoughts away day changed suddenly like a breath of the wind my joy flew away like the wind |
| Player's comments: | Anabel Spiteri is
still in her early 20's. She is from the village of Rabat, close to the
older capital of Malta, Mdina. She plays the piano, acts and sings. She is one of the upcoming artists and participates in local festivals quite frequently. She prefers to sing both ballads as well as uptempo entries. Her favourite singers are former Irish boyband, Westlife as well as the Irish siblings, The Corrs. She is also a fan of Whitney Houston. Seen her interest in acting and singing she took part in various musicals held around the Maltese islands including: : The Sound of Music, Magic of the Musicals and various others.. She won the KDZ-Youths song contest 2000 with an entry "Il-Kebbies tal-Fanal". This entry, "Bhal nefha rih" (Like a breath of wind) placed 2nd in this year's "Fl-Ghaqda l-Melodija 2003" (The Union's Melody 2003"). |
